  • PEDAGOGY

     

    LECTURES

    The faculty members design their lecture delivery schedule with a special focus on incorporating the most relevant content for the budding managers. Lectures are optimally supported by presentations, case studies, management games, business games, business plans, financial modeling, quizzes, workshops, seminars and conferences.
     

    CASE STUDIES

    Many international research findings have positively recommended the case study method as an important methodology in management education. The case study method of teaching at SDCMS provides out students the analytical orientation to handle the real life scenario with higher degree of comfort. The students participate whole heartedly in all the three processes of development of case studies, analyzing case studies and solving case studies by applying the concepts and ideas of management.
     

    PROJECTS & ASSIGNMENTS

    Projects are compulsory and indispensable part of the curriculum at SDCMS and prepare the dissertations according to their curriculum. The Summer Internship Project of eight week duration wherein a student is required to undergo practical training in a corporate house or may undertake a research project under the guidance of a faculty member.
     

    SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS

    The Seminars and workshops on different contemporary themes in accordance with the latest trends at global and the national level at SDCMS make it markedly different as they focus on the areas of crucial and strategic importance and focus on providing the students the special edge over their colleagues.
     

    INTERFACE INDUSTRY and GUEST SPEAKERS

    The curriculum revision committee consists of the faculty members, leading academicians from the other reputed and leading institutions and representatives from the corporate world. The committee meets every quarter to review the dynamics of change in the needs of the industry and recommends the necessary changes in the curriculum. Special lectures industrial/academic by various eminent speakers are emphasized at SDCMS to provide the latest update directly from the doyens of management.

    PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT AND SOFT SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM

    SDCMS have its collaboration with reputed trainers for conducting personality development and soft skills training program for students with a view to enhance their communication skill and for their all round personality development.
     

    CONFERENCES, SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS

    Academic learning needs to be supported with multifarious interactions with people hailing from various walks of the life, SDCMS regularly organizes conferences, seminars and workshops on various themes. Industry veterans, research scholars, government official etc. are invited time to time. The state of the art auditoriums with a combined capacity of over 200 act as a common ground for such regular interfaces, conference and other events.
     

    INDUSTRIAL VISITS

    Taking the students for industrial visits is an integral part of the curriculum. It provides an ideal opportunity to the students to understand the real functioning of the industry and get exposed to different work cultures. This provides the students with insights into real life organizational dynamics & familiarizes them with issues of current concern of the industry.
     

    PLACEMENT & INTERNSHIP

    SDCMS believes that placement is not a mere event but a continuous process of understanding and evaluating the students and preparing them for the industry and its operational requirement. The placement cell initiates and nurtures contact with leading organizations for campus visits and is functional throughout the year. It endeavours to match the aspirations of the students with the needs of the industry. During the fourth semester, established business houses visit the campus & select candidate through Campus Interviews.

  • Live telecast of Indian Economy Interim Budget 2024-25 A live telecast of the Interim Budget 2024-25 was shown in the MBA auditorium at S.D. College of Management Studies. The program was started by College Principal Dr. Alok Kumar Gupta. Students of MBA, MCA and BTC participated in the program. All the participants attracted everyone by presenting their views on the budget.more

  • DeMFIESTA - Design Thinking and Management Today, on 22 December 2023, DeMFIESTA program was organized on the subject of Design Thinking and Management for the students of MBA department under IQAC at SD College of Management Studies. In which the various activities were performed by MBA students. In which they participated with great enthusiasm. First of all, the program was inaugurated by College Principal Dr. Alok Kumar Gupta and spokesperson Ritu Mittal by lighting the lamp infront of the idol of Maa Saraswati.more
