Live telecast of Indian Economy Interim Budget 2024-25 was shown for MBA/MCA and BTC students under IQAC at SD College of Management Studies.

 

Today, on 01 February 2024, a live telecast of the Interim Budget 2024-25 was shown in the MBA auditorium at S.D. College of Management Studies. The program was started by College Principal Dr. Alok Kumar Gupta. Students of MBA, MCA and BTC participated in the program. All the participants attracted everyone by presenting their views on the budget.

 

Before the Lok Sabha elections, the interim budget of the Modi government was presented in the Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sita Raman on 01 February 2024. In which Finance Minister Nirmala Sita Raman said that this is the 10th budget of the Modi government. All the students and lecturers of MBA, MCA and BTC understood the fine details of the budget through the projector, after which the college made all the students participate in a seminar and gave information about various aspects of the budget.

 

College Principal Dr. Alok Kumar Gupta said that India's economy is moving in the right direction and is moving towards a bright future. Drawing attention to the changes taking place in various sectors like solar panels, banking sector, economic corridor, agricultural industry under the budget, he told how much employment and entrepreneurship opportunities are increasing due to the efforts of the Central and State Government. With complete information, incomparable confidence can be awakened in the students to work in the corporate sector, which is the key to success. The straightforward presentation of the budget was especially commendable.

 

Spokesperson Mahima Mangal said that keeping in mind the modern times, entrepreneurship and digitalization have been promoted in this budget through new technologies. In which further exemption in tax for one more year has been given to startups, which was 3 years before. She further said that the government wants to take the country's carbon emissions towards “zero” by 2070, for which they talked about encouraging electronic vehicles. Along with this it was talked about creating 3000 industrial training institutes for youth empowerment. She also told that the Government has planned to provide free vaccination to the girls of age 9 yrs to 14 yrs who are suffering by cervical cancer.

 

MBA students Saloni, Adeeba, Aafia, Rupal, Muskaan, Bushra and Arjun etc. especially understood the budget in the program and presented their views saying that it has different effects on different sectors of the economy. They told that no change was made in the tax slab. It was also announced to focus on villages, increase funds for women and farmers.To analyze these impacts, the students of MBA Finance specialization took special interest in it and presented the discussion by collecting special information about key sectors like direct tax, corporate tax, impact on the economy, cervical cancer, impact on demand and infrastructure etc. By presenting presentations on topics like "Corporate Tax, "Importance of Union Budget for Youth", "Agriculture Sector", "Digitalization Budget 2024-25" etc., everyone was given important information about various sections of the budget. In this sequence, BTC student Priyanka, while discussing the budget, she said that in the electricity allocation, 300 units of electricity would be distributed every month to more than one crore houses in the next five years.

 

The program was successfully conducted by the Finance Specialization of Department of MBA. In which mainly spokespersons Devesh Gupta, Tushar Bhardwaj and Aastha Singhal expressed their views on this budget and said that big announcements and provisions have been made in the budget. A scheme to empower 3 crore women is being started under Lakhpati Didi Scheme.

 

In this program mainly teachers like Ritu Mittal, Dr. Vibhuti Aggarwal, Parul Kumar, Devesh Gupta, Mahima Mangal, Aditya Kashyap, Tushar Bhardwaj, Aastha Singhal, Prashant Tomar, Ankur Aggarwal, Babli Tomar, Rajeev Kumar, Varun Kumar, etc. all faculty members attended and contributed.
